Dawes Brewery barrel - (Montreal, QC)

Here is the latest addition to my 3 1/3 gallon wooden beer barrel collection - Dawes Brewery from Montreal, QC.

Barrel was made by Canada Barrels & Kegs Ltd in Waterloo, ON. This company was formerly named Mueller Cooperage and was located at Regina and Erb streets. It was privately owned until sold to the Seagram family in 1920, when it became Canada Barrels & Kegs Ltd.

Good read that delves into conversation with Charles Pike of Pike Place Brewing and Breweriana Museum, George Adams who owns the largest stein collection in the world, and more. .
